    I'm 11 and I had extremely bad IBS attacks and it hurts like crazy it started becoming more and more frequent and my doctor told me it was just a fancy word for my stomach aches and i don't know why and he said that it's not a big problem but it hurts like hell and distracted me in 6th grade with frequent diarrhea and had to stay home and stopped me from making up all my work it was horrible i avoid the bad foods but i was at a party and i didnt want to starve so i ate a cheese burger and i barfed like all over the place in isle 12 in VONS and the food wasn't even digested sorry to go into detail. it also made me alot more depressed because i have to spend time at home and cant go with my friends because im afraid ill just get really really sick there and have no fun

    Go and see a gastro intestinal doctor. They will probably give you a medication to help with your symptoms.

    IBS is caused by tight back muscles for they press onto the nerves, as they leave the spine, going to the organs to cause problems. Pressure on the nerves going to your stomach will cause it to release more gastric acid which burns your stomach lining. As it goes into your system the rest of your system goes haywire and you get the diarrhea as your body is trying to get rid of the pain the acid is causing. To get rid of the pain you have to free up your back muscles to get the pressure off the nerves and here's how to free them up: Back: (do from a sitting position) Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side. For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

    what they talking about IBS isnt stomach aches, it's a lot more complicated than that. in your intestines, there are muscles, what happens is they cramp up. your doctor should have started you on some antispasmodics which will stop the cramping. go back to your doctor and ask for them. you can get over the counter IBS stuff like Buscopan (which i'm on) and they do work by are expensive. i've been on practically all the medications and most worked but stopped. but by far the best thing that works for me, as i have the diorrea and constipation and spasms and pain and gas and practically everything, Imodium Plus. Imodium Plus will control the spasms and the diorrea, (it's expensive but you should try it if you can get it!) Edit_ if your having pains now, try Immodium plus, if you cant get any, try a hot water bottle, spearmint tea (very good for IBS and gas!!) Ginger tea or boiling up some root ginger or adding it to tea and drinking it, this will help a lot aswell. Paracetimol tablets are about the only pain killers that work for my IBS pain, tried all the others, they either dont work or make things worse. also if your prescribed Fiber suppliment ( a poweder you add to water) take a tiny bit to begin with with a little water, this almost sent me to the hospital because of the pain, luckly i only tried a bit. some peopel are fine with it some with IBS arnt, fiber suppliments although there supposed ot help IBS there not good for peopel with IBS.
